High Performance Solutions For All Buildings
Glass balustrades can add that 'wow' effect in any space, and make a particular statement in buildings. Their sleek lines and open feel can add a real air to an open space, and can also provide a sense of separation and privacy without the need for solid and intrusive walls.

Raising The Bar
When to comes to using glass, safety is a big priority. We’ve made safety the main feature of all our glass balustrades – and installation is a big part of that.
Our experienced team can help you choose or design a balustrade that enhances your space, and most importantly complies with the New Zealand Building Code. And when it comes to installation, our tradespeople take care of that too so you can be sure that every safety box is ticked.

Some Things To Think About
Balustrades need to incorporate several design and performance requirements to comply with the New Zealand Building Code. It is important that all requirements are met to ensure that you meet the code of compliance. Consideration needs to be given to the following standards:
- AS/NZS 1170*
- B1/AS1 Structure (NZS 4203) refers to (NZS 4223:Part 3: 1999)
- B2/AS1 Durability
- F2/AS1 Hazardous Building Materials (NZS 4223:Part 3: 1999)
- F4/AS1 Safety from falling
- D1/AS1 Access Routes
- Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987

When we meet with you to work out a design, we’ll cover all these standards for your space.
Keep Your View Clean & Clear
Glass balustrades are designed to make the most of your view, so it makes sense to keep them looking like new. Diamond Coat produces an invisibly thin, durable “non-stick” surface that protects the glass from corrosion and prevents dirt from sticking to the glass, dramatically reducing the need to clean. It works like a nonstick frying pan, by actually repelling dirt and grease. It cuts cleaning effort and time by up to 90%... and when cleaning is needed, all it takes is a quick wipe. So choose Diamond Coat when you install a National Glass balustrade.

* Glass balustrade specifications are determined by NZS 4203 or AS/NZS 1170 (Note: NZS 4203 does not meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1170. Care should be exercised as often contract conditions call for compliance with NZS 1170). Alternatively specific design (B1/VM1) requires compliance with NZS 1170, NZS 4223: Part 1: 2008 or AS 1288: 2006 (as design stresses are aligned to NZS 1170) and NZS Part 3: 1999.
